You can spend the night in Dracula’s castle on Halloween — here’s how

Do you love vampire stories and all things spooky? If so, Airbnb is giving away a chance to stay over in Dracula’s Transylvania castle on Halloween night. The creepy and utterly magnificent 57-room manor that’s nestled in the Carpathian mountains of Romania will be available to one lucky winner and their guest.

From now until October 26, you can enter to win a stay on the night of October 31, 2016 by going to and explaining what would you say to count Dracula if you were to meet him in his castle.

And if you do win, it’ll be a night to remember. After being transported to Bran Castle via a horse-drawn carriage, you’ll arrive and be greeted by Dracula author Bram Stoker’s great grandnephew Dacre Stoker, who will be your host for the evening.

He’ll show you around the castle which is a labyrinth of lamp-lit corridors, creepy nooks and squeaky staircases, according to the description. Then you’ll enter a secret passage that leads to the grand dining room where you’ll enjoy a candlelit dinner, prepared exactly as described in the novel.

In terms of accommodations, you’ll get to enjoy the finest velvet-trimmed coffins available and will rest in the Count’s crypt. Pay no mind to the sound of roaming wolves outside the castle walls.

According to the contest page, there are just a few house rules:

1. No garlic or garlic-scented items allowed.

2. Leave your silver jewelry at home.

3. No crossing of the cutlery.
