Matt Lauer’s notebooks for charity with Shinola are back in stock!

Call him old fashioned if you want, but Matt Lauer still loves getting mail that doesn’t contain a single emoji. Like, actual mail. On paper.

“I’d love to remind people the joy of holding on to something that doesn’t ring or beep or send you a tone,” he recently explained.

Checking in on Matt Lauer’s team-up with Shinola to benefit school

That’s why Matt teamed up with Detroit-based lifestyle brand Shinola to create a five-piece collection for his TODAY’s Original product last month, which has a huge success. Most of his products sold out the first day they were available for purchase. With help from you, we raised almost $38,000 for the students at the Detroit Edison Public School Academy.

Items from his collection are now back in stock on Shinola’s website, just in time for the holidays.

The collection includes a boxed card set for handwritten notes, along with a 12-month planner, paperback journals, a leather passport wallet and nylon watch straps.

The products are inscribed with the number 20, representing Matt’s 20 year anniversary on TODAY on January 6, 2017.

Matt says he chose to partner with Shinola because the company’s products are modern and current, but still have a traditional twist. To this day, the first thing Matt does when he wakes up is open his leather-bound calendar and look at his agenda.

“I get kidded a lot that I’m a bit of a dinosaur, but I still like to hold a book in my hands,” he told the company in an interview.

All of the proceeds from Matt’s TODAY’s Original collection will go to the Detroit Children’s fund to benefit the Detroit Edison Public School Academy.
